“The sauna brings together artists from different fields and backgrounds, offering minor events throughout the building. Even though sauna has divergent meanings and uses in various (sub)cultures, it is rarely used for artistic purposes. The collaborators have varying conceptions of sauna, which traditionally as a space functions on multiple levels; at the same time intimate, private, social and even spiritual. The artists involved intertwine the aesthetic and social qualities of the gestalt by their individual practices on various mediums, being also literally in-between the academic circle.”
